A Serious Undertaking

Will appear at Clatsop Plains Pioneer Cemetery, Oct. 25th.



(Astoria, OR.) October 1, 2015- The Clatsop County Historical Society, with sponsorship from Astoria Granite Works, is excited to once again present "Talking Tombstones". This year's sequel, "Talking Tombstones XII, A Serious Undertaking" will be held on Sunday' October 25th from 1:00 pm until dusk at the Clatsop Plains Pioneer Cemetery, located at the intersection Patriot Way and Highway 101 in Warrenton.

Former citizens are expected to return from the great beyond for a graveside chat with any and all willing to visit their tombstone.

This is a FREE event, however donations are welcome. Visitors should plan to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. as the deceased begin to fade from view as the darkness of night draws near.

Clatsop County Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of Clatsop County Oregon and the surrounding area.  The Society operates the Flavel House Museum, the Heritage Museum, the Oregon Film Museum, and the Uppertown Firefighters Museum.
